Charles-Louis Notter

Born in 1990, Charles-Louis graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (’10) from the University of Geneva and a Master of Laws, cum laude (’13), from the Universities of Geneva and Basle. He completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions at the University of Geneva in 2013 and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Forensics I in 2019.

From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a trainee at Köstenbaum & Associés before joining the same firm as an associate in 2015. He then served as an associate at Bottge & Associés SA (2016-2017) and at 100 RUE DU RHÔNE AVOCATS (2017-2018). In 2019, he became an associate at BianchiSchwald LLC, where he worked until 2024, before joining Canonica Valticos Carnicé & Associés.

Charles-Louis mainly advises clients in national and international debt recovery proceedings as well as enforcement proceedings of foreign and domestic judgements and arbitral awards. He also holds a specialization in criminal law, especially in phenomena such as white-collar crimes and money laundering. His other areas of practice include civil litigation, commercial litigation, and labour law.

In parallel to his legal work, Charles-Louis serves as an auditor (prosecutor) in the Swiss Military Justice, after having served as an investigating judge for several years.

He is admitted to the Geneva Bar (2015) and the Paris Bar (2023, according to Directive 98/5/CE). He is a member of the Geneva Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association, the Swiss Military Officers Association (Geneva Chapter), and the Paris Bar Association (according to Directive 98/5/CE).
